No compromise on rights of students In Karak

KARAK: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Kohat Chairman and provincial members of National Education Council (NEC) have resolved to make joint efforts for the eradication of curse of copying during examinations and said that no compromise would be made on the rights of the students. This was decided here on Saturday at meeting of a delegation headed by Provincial member of NEC Muhammad Raza Khattak and comprising Professor Ameer Amanullah and Professor Wiqarul Mulk with the chairman Board Muhammad Khalil at his office and briefly discussed the different problems regarding the conduction of examinations and reservations of the private institutions regarding the examination system. In the meeting Muhammad Raza Khattak urged on the chairman to discourage the deputations of professional teachers on the examination centers and asked them to analyze the roster of duties on examination halls of last four years to get updated about the professional teachers of duties on examination halls. He added that such elements have damaged even the decorum of the examinations and urged on them to develop pleasant environment between the board and the educational institutions through mutual consultations. Raza Khattak presented serious reservations regarding the on going enter examination and the last Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams and urged on the Chairman to stop the illegal practices in the examinations as it was destroying our generation of future. The chairman, on the occasion said to the delegation that no discrimination would be made with any educational institution and no compromise would be made on the standard of education, rights of the students and copy in examination to discourage the mafia involved in the copy. Khalil added that the board was aware about the problems of the public and private institutions and would extend every sort of help to them. He said that professionals' teachers who were doing duties on the examination halls regularly would be discouraged and the duties of honest teachers would be deputed on examination halls to save the future of innocent students. Board Chairman resolved that system of examination would be improved and trust would be developed between the board and the educational institutions for the up gradation of standard of education. He informed that he would soon visit the district Karak to arrange a grand meeting with the teachers of public institutions and owners of private institutions to evolve a consensus over faults free examination system as the present system of examination was no more fulfilling our needs.
