NWFP students of  Twenty-member of high achievers of metric and intermediate level examinations arrived in Lahore

LAHORE:ON the invitation of Chief Minister Punjab Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, a twenty-member delegation of high achievers of metric and intermediate level examinations 2008-09 from Peshawar arrived in Lahore on Sunday night.

Provincial Minister for Education Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Secretary Higher Education Ahad Cheema, Secretary Schools Nadeem Ashraf and high ranking officers of Education Department warmly welcomed the delegation.

Talking to mediamen on this occasion, the minister said all the talented students were great assets of our country. Chief Minister Punjab Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif had chalked out a programme to encourage the talented students of Punjab as well as other province, he said, adding this step would prove very helpful in promoting the reconciliation among the provinces.

Talking to mediamen, the NWFP students said they were thankful to the Chief Minister Punjab for his encouragement. They said the visit would promote inter-provincial harmony among the students of the country, adding the talented students of various parts of the country would also be encouraged by this move. During the visit, the delegation will visit universities, historical and recreational places of Lahore.
