PESHAWAR: NWFP Private Paramedical Institute rejects exam results

PESHAWAR: NWFP Private Paramedical Institute Association Saturday rejected the recently announced results of paramedical faculty and demanded of the authorities concerned to take action against the provincial medical faculty for their negligence.

Speaking at a press conference here at press club, provincial chairman of the association Sajjad Haider alleged that the medical faculty had made baseless unfair means (UFM) cases against over 70 percent of the students who had appeared in various diploma examinations.

He claimed that the faculty had imposed a fine of Rs six thousand per UFM case, which was not acceptable to them. Sajjad said most of the students who had been declared passed in previous semester were shown failed in their detailed marks certificate (DMC).

Sajjad demanded that faculty should recheck the papers of these students according to the rules. He asked the authorities concerned to stop, what he alleged was, exploitation of the poor students by imposing such heavy fines on them.

He alleged that after every six months the medical faculty increased examination fees and never issued any official notification in this regard.

Flanked by officer-bearers of the association, he demanded of the health authorities to affiliate all the medical institutions with Khyber Medical University (KMU) and authorize it to deal with private paramedical institutions as well.

The association also demanded of the authorities of medical faculty to give grace marks to the internally displaced students as due to obvious reasons-militancy and military operation-most of them could not concentrate on their studies.
