Ganga Ram Hospital Students nursing Protest
LAHORE:THE nurses and students of nursing of the Ganga Ram Hospital held a protest demonstration outside the Punjab Assembly on Friday against construction of a ward in the lawn of their hostel.
They chanted slogans against the administration of the hospital and said that by constructing the ward in the lawn of their hostel, the hospital administration was depriving them of fresh air to breathe.
The nurses told reporters that they had to come on road after the hospitalís AMS had severe argument with them over the issue.
They said that around 300 nurses were living in the hostel’s congested environment, adding that the construction of new block would add to their miseries.
It is learnt later Chief Ministerís Task Force Chairman Dr Asad Ashraf and the MS of the Ganga Ram Hospital later held a meeting with the protesting nurses but they failed to address their grievances.
