Govt to set up technical institutions: Minister F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: The NWFP Minister for Agriculture Arbab Muhammad Ayub Jan has said that the technical education playing key role in the public and private sector and in order to promote and strengthen technical skill education the present government is keen to establish many technical institutions in the province to train the youth to learn the skills, both at domestic as well as international standard. This he said while inaugurating the construction work of a Polytechnic Institute at Rano Garhi at G.T. Road Peshawar on previous day. A large number of local people, elite and officials of the C&W and technical education were present on the occasion. The technical institute which would be completed at the estimated cost of Rs. Eight crore on 44 kanal land and will be comprised of various skill department. Arbab Ayub Jan said that the land was purchased 20 years ago for the purpose during his MPA-ship but unfortunately none of the elected member bother to initiate the construction work over the project which clearly shown the previous government not interested for the education. He said if the project would completed in time a huge amount would be saved in the construction work and on other hand a number of students would completed the technical education from the institute till now. He said the project would opened new avenues for the educated youth of the area and they would be able to earn through it some respectable jobs. He also disclosed that a 14 kanal land has already been also purchased for a Commerce College in the same area. and Eight crore rupee have been allocated for its construction work of the same in the current budget. He said that during the previous decade, the province had been left behind in the education sector and now this was the high time that we should give full attention to this sector. He asked the people to be alert of the seasonal politicians who always after grabbing the votes and get disappearance without knowing the problems of his constituency. While speaking on the present situation Arbab Ayub Jan said that the previous government is responsible for the price hike, loadshedding and law and order and corruption had been encouraged in each and every institution during the previous tenure. The function was also addressed by the Sultan Bacha, Asif Khan and Rashid Bacha.
