International Islamic University Moot held on global software engineering
Islamabad:Department of Software Engineering of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a one-day workshop on ‘Global Software Engineering: Challenges, Opportunities & Organizational Readiness’ here on Tuesday.

The workshop was designed to develop participants’ knowledge on emerging issues in Global Software Engineering (GSE) and to create awareness on organizational readiness to tackle challenges.

Dr. Eshan Ullah Khan, Dean FBAS, welcomed the participants from various universities and software houses of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Dr. Mahmood Niazi from Keele University (UK) said that Global Software Outsourcing is a 600 billion dollar market and is dominated by India as a leading solution provider.

“Now India is getting stiff competition from China, Malaysia and Ireland who prepared themselves for Global Software in last three to five years,” he said.The news
