NWFP education boards announce HSSC results

PESHAWAR: The intermediate and secondary education boards of Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Dera and Swat Saturday announced results of the annual examination of FA/FSc (part-I and II).

In Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar’s pre-engineering group, the students of Government College Peshawar clinched the first three positions.

Muhammad Bilal (roll No 58901) stood first scoring 981 marks, Mohibullah (roll No 58912) got second position with 979 marks and Kaleemullah (roll No 58935) bagged third position by getting 962 marks.

In pre-medical group, Zeeshan Akhtar (roll No 53301) of the Islamia College Peshawar got first position by getting 959 marks.

Representing Frontier College Peshawar, Muqadissa Mehreen (roll No 50791) got 958 marks and stood second. The third position went to Kaneeza Ayaz (roll No 50013) of Jinnah College Peshawar who got 953 marks.

Maryam Shah (roll No 50012), another student of Jinnah College, got 953 marks and clinched third position in Peshawar board.

The BISE controller examination, Nasir Ali, announced the results here Saturday. On the occasion, he said that a total of 29,467 students appeared in the in the examination.

The top three positions went to the Garrison Cadet College Kohat in over all results.

Muhammad Shebak Khan stood first by scoring 991 marks, Muhammad Owais Khan got second position by scoring 983 marks while Muhammad Samiullah remained third who got 980 marks. All of them belong to the pre-engineering group.

The chairman said that 8,947 students passed the examination out of a total of 13,186 students with the pass percentage of 67.85 per cent.

Our Mardan correspondent adds: The BISE Mardan announced results of the annual intermediate examination here Saturday.

The board chairman, Fazl Mabood Khan, while announcing the result of the board said student of the Fazal Haque College Mardan Muhammad Shayan Khan (roll No 32309) clinched first position in the board by scoring 967 marks out of 1,100.

Manzoor Ali Shah (roll No 36582) of Tufail Shaheed Army College Mardan got 908 and was announced as second position-holder and third position-holder is Aiman Saeed of Tameer Seerat School and College Swabi who secured 902 marks.

He said that a total of 21,342 students appeared in Part-II out of them 9,962 students passed the examination with the pass percentage of 46.68 per cent.

Our DI Khan correspondent adds: Controller of Examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Dera Ismail Khan, Saturday announced results of FA/FSc for the session 2008. Total of 8029 candidates appeared in part-I while 7330 in part-II and the over all result remained 53 percent.

According to the gazette notification issued by the controller of examinations, in Pre-Medical group, Muhammad Hanan Roll No: 4052 stood first by securing 949 out of 1100 marks, Ume Kulsoom Roll No: 3133 stood second by obtaining 945 marks while Muhammad Safdar Roll 4053 and Sunbal Aziz Roll No: 3028 stood third securing 919 marks each.

In Pre-Engineering group, Umar Ali Roll No: 4989 stood first securing 932 marks, Yasir Khan Roll No: stood second by obtaining 894 marks while Najibullah Roll No: 4991 stood third by securing 893 marks.

In Humanities group, Sana Zeb Roll No: 8880 stood first securing 827 marks, Mubbashira Bibi Roll No: 9335 stood second by obtaining 822 marks while Shakila Naz Roll No: 8868 stood third by securing 818 marks.

Our Mingora correspondent adds: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Swat, announced results of intermediate examinations on Saturday.

A total of 11,356 students appeared in the examinations, whereby 8077 were declared successful. The result remained 71 per cent. The students of Government Degree College, Mingora, secured the top three position.

Khawaja Junaid Ahmed topped the board by securing 933 marks out of 1100, Mohammad Tariq clinched second position by getting 932 marks while Aftab Hussain remained third with 926 marks.
