Old patient at Pims still unidentified
ISLAMABAD, Dec 8: Neuro-physicians at Pims have performed brain surgery on an unidentified patient brought to the hospital by the Tarnol police on November 26.

According to one of the physicians, the patient was brought to the emergency ward in unconscious condition.

“The male patient appears to be 60 years old, is sporting beard with dark complexion and is about six feet tall. We are trying to identify him.”

He said according to the medical report and background history, the Tarnol police had found the aged patient lying on the railway track.

“Orthopaedics at the hospital conducted surgery on his right limb which was broken and the patient has not recovered from the post-trauma condition,” said the physician.

He said the patient was wearing traditional purple attire and there was no identification card on his person through which his relatives could be traced. “The patient is recovering but still in trauma and we are not sure when he will regain consciousness.”

Meanwhile, the Pims management said they were in contact with the police station concerned. “We are also in touch with the police authorities and according to them no complaint has been lodged in any of the police stations regarding missing of any old man,” said an official of the hospital management. He said the patient was admitted to the Surgical Ward-III, Bed No 18.The news
