Gomal University Employees Protest Shortage of  Funds
 Dera Ismail Khan : September 12 :  Faculty and administrative staff of the Gomal University on Wednesday staged a protest against the shortage of funds.
The protesters lamented that the lack of funds had created difficulties for students and teachers alike, adding that the employees had not even been paid salaries. They said the culture of research could not be created owing to the severe financial crunch. The protesters said the government should allocate sufficient funds for the university if it was committed to promoting education.
Imparting education to students is not possible when the teachers are preoccupied with financial matters,” one of the teachers said.They asked the government to release funds on an emergency basis to address the sense of uncertainty prevalent among the staff and students.The news.
