Military College of Signals Convocation held
Rawalpindi: 26 January :The 22nd Undergraduate Convocation Ceremony of Military College of Signals (MCS) was held on Saturday, says a press release.
Rector NUST, Engineer Muhammad Asghar was chief guest on the occasion.
While addressing on the occasion, chief guest stressed upon urgent need to produce trained scientists and technologists. He also emphasized that the challenge is to transform our tertiary educational institutions into centers of excellence, with high standards of teaching and a culture of sustained learning.
Earlier, Commandant MCS, Brigadier Ali Farhan, in his welcome address, presented the college report, highlighting the progress in academic and research excellence the College has achieved over the last six decades.
A total of 195 students of Telecom and Software Engineering programs were conferred degrees of Bachelor of Engineering. President’s Gold Medals were awarded to NUST Cadet Muhammad Ahsen and NUST Cadet Ruba Aslam. Chief of Army Staff’s Gold Medals were received by Capt Abdul Rehman Raza Khan and Gentleman Cadet Muhammad ul Husnain Nawaz. Rector’s Gold Medals were awarded to Capt Khalid Rabbani and Capt Abdul Rehman Raza Khan for their outstanding performances in their respective degree projects.
Chancellor’s silver medals were received by NUST Cadet Muhammad Ali and NUST Cadet Zainab Abbas.
Major General Waqar Ahmed, Signal Officer in Chief, faculty members, educationists and a large number of students were also present during the ceremony.The news.
