TWO Students Injured in Karachi University
Karachi:March 07:Two students of the Karachi University studying in the evening shift were injured on Thursday when they were pelted with stones while praying outside the statistics department.
The students were affiliated with the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) and were shifted to hospitals for treatment.
Khalid, a second-year chemistry student, and Khalid, a first-year statistics student, had been offering Asr prayers with a groups of students in the lawn of the department when they were pelted with stones allegedly by activists of the Imamia Students Organisation (ISO).
According to Taj-ul-Muluk, the IJT nazim of KU, the ISO activists began throwing stones at them just when they were finishing their prayers.

He said that Haris, admitted in Patel Hospital, sustained injuries and a CT scan was being done to determine the extent of his head injury.

Meanwhile, Khalid was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment and his condition was said to be better than Haris.
I don’t know why they attacked students offering prayers. We do not have any issues with the ISO or any other student organisation at the campus,” he said.
The News tried to contact the ISO chief in KU, Rozi Khan, but his cellphone was switched off.The news.
