MULTAN:July 03: The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) has started the second shift of three years diploma courses in Punjab districts to accommodate 8,150 students.
The Tevta officials said on Wednesday that the department had imparted training to 3,800 solar technicians under the supervision of German GIZ organisation to overcome energy crises. The Tevta had also launched pilot projects in Lahore and Multan jails to provide three months vocational training courses, they added. Over 11,534 pupils of seminaries had been provided trainings, they maintained. The Tevta had upgraded Gujranwala Light Engineering Centre, Sialkot Metal Industries Development Centre, Mianchannu Agriculture Machinery Industries, Gujranwala Institute of Leather Technology and Wazirabad Cutlery Centre, they informed. The Tevta had rehabilitated Kasur Leather Service Centre, Faisalabad Hosiery and Finishing Centre and Jhang Woolen Centre, they added.The news.
