Interviews for five varsities’ VCs from 20th
Lahore:October 18:INTERVIEWS of short-listed candidates for the regular posts of Vice Chancellors (VCs) of five public universities of the Punjab province, which were earlier postponed owing to floods, are starting from October 20 (Monday).
These varsities include the University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore, UET Taxila, University of Gujrat, Government College University (GCU) Faisalabad and Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB).
It is pertinent to mention here that around 150 candidates have been short-listed for the interviews to be conducted by the Vice Chancellor Search Committee, headed by noted businessman and Pro-Chancellor of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Syed Babar Ali.
The other members of the committee are Dr Zafar Iqbal Qureshi (Dr ZIQ) of LUMS, MPA Dr Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, who is also a visiting professor at the Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Additional Chief Secretary Sohail Aamir Mirza and Secretary HED Abdullah Khan Sumbal.The news.
