NUST offers Postgraduate degree Engineering Programme of 30 credit hours with 24 credit hours of work study and 6 credit hours of thesis in all engineering colleges/institutes, in a stipulated period of 18 months. The course contents are spread over four semesters.
The courses are distinctive for being qualitative in nature and in accordance with international standards. A student with a minimum GPA of 3 at the end of the course is only allowed to undertake his thesis to earn MS Engineering degree by successfully defending his dissertation. The university runs post graduate programmes in various engineering disciplines, some of them by rotation every year. The number and type of these programmes are announced every year through newspapers.
