Islamabad:June 15:At Roots International Schools students are provided with multiple opportunities to enhance their skills and develop their personality through participation at multiple national and international forums.

For years parent-teacher conferences have been the primary means of parent-teacher communication. RIS believe in establishing a very effective relationship with parents and that this parent-teacher partnership can make a significant difference in child’s education. Therefore to enhance the interaction between parents and teachers and to make parents more involved and responsive to their children’s social, emotional, and intellectual development need. Roots international Schools introduced new idea of student-led conferences that communicate not only how a student’s doing but also why. For years that process has been the norm, but now it is changing.  When students display their project, give presentations, communicate to people about their work done, it seems very impressive to attendees of conference.

Theme of Students-Led Conference was ‘Stem’. Roots international Schools is promoting Stem education in its nationwide campuses is for all students. Our goal is to increase the STEM proficiency of RIS students by helping them develop knowledge and skills that will prepare them for post-secondary study and careers in Stem.” STEM proficient students are able to answer complex questions, investigate global issues, and develop solutions for challenges and real-world problems while applying the rigor of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics content. STEM proficient students are logical thinkers who are technologically, scientifically, and mathematically literate.

RIS students worked , displayed and presented  various projects such as Robotics-hands , cheer leaders, drone , water cooler, bio diversity, circulatory system, producing electricity using windmill, energy conversion, Working ATM machine, working AC, generator, vacuum cleaner, solar system, water cycle, water penetration plant, food pyramid, habitat, water pollution, working table fan and many more.
