Six indicted for blinding student
LAHORE:July 19: A judicial magistrate of district courts Tuesday framed charges against six people accused of emasculating and blinding a 9th class student.
The accused including Muhammad Hanif, Shan, Amir Sohail, Zeeshan, Ashfaque and one other appeared before the court where they denied all the charges levelled against them. After which the court indicted the accused and summoned prosecution witnesses.

The accused were booked by Sundar Police under Section 324 of the PPC on the complaint of victim’s father, Muhammad Javed. The applicant alleged that his son Aish Muhammad, and his friend Waqar, were heading home on a motorbike from a private academy when four unidentified people intercepted them and started beating the duo.

According to the complainant, the assailants attacked Aish’s eyes with knives and damaged one of his testicles in the attack. The motive for the alleged crime was that Aish Muhammad had relationship with Hanif’s daughter.

transplant case: A judicial magistrate on Tuesday dismissed bail of one Saqib Khan, an alleged agent of main accused in illegal organ transplant case.The bail application was moved by one Saqib Khan who is said to be an agent of main accused in the case, including Prof Dr Fawad, Dr Altamash. The petitioner said the agency has not any proof against him and he is not a nominated accused in the case.

He said he is also not a doctor and the FIA has booked him on reasons unknown to him. He implored the court to grant him bail. However, the FIA submitted before the court that Saqib was arrested on the identification of already arrested accused.

The agency said it has solid evidence against Saqib and most likely he is the head of illegal organ transplant racket. Prof Dr Fawad, Dr Altamash and seven other suspects were arrested on charges of illegal transplantation of kidneys and sale of human organs in and outside the country. The suspects, during investigation, revealed that among the donors were a rickshaw driver Amir and a woman Roshni who were promised to be paid Rs150,000 each.

Amir decided to sell his kidney to pay back his loan while Roshni could not be able to give her statement due to excessive bleeding, the official said, adding that the FIA arranged a professor from Mayo Hospital to look after her. The FIA officials said among the recipients were two foreign nationals who paid Rs4 million per head to the doctors for transplantation.The news.
