Over 33,000 appear for K-P medical colleges’ entrance test
PESHAWAR:24 July:A total of 33,053 candidates appeared in the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) Entrance Test 2017 organised by Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar for admissions in public and private sector medical and dental colleges of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The candidates included 20,041 males and 13,011 females, said an official statement.
Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar and ETEA jointly organised the test simultaneously at Islamia Collegiate School Hockey ground Peshawar, Khyber Medical College Cricket Ground opposite Irnum Hospital Peshawar, Ayub Medical College Abbottabad, Grassy Ground Saidu Sharif Swat and University Wensem College DI Khan, the statement said.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of KMU Dr Arshad Javaid, while talking to media expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements for the entrance test and said that increasing number of candidates appearing in the ETEA test shows a great trust on the arrangements and transparent process of the test conducted jointly by KMU and ETEA.

He said around 20,041 men and 13,011 women appeared in the entrance test at the above mentioned five centres.

The results of the test will be announced on Monday and would be available on KMU website http://www.kmu.edu.pk www.kmu.edu.pk and http://www.kmu.edu.pk http://www.kmu.edu.pk as well as on ETEA website http://www.etea.edu.pk www.etea.edu.pk and http://www.etea.edu.pk http://www.etea.edu.pk the statement said.

The result would also be communicated to all candidates individually via SMS on their respective mobile phones through specially prepared software by IT section of KMU.

According to the statement, 11,549 candidates appeared in test at Islamia Collegiate School Hockey ground Peshawar, whereas 6,623 candidates at Khyber Medical College cricket ground, 4,986 students at Ayub Medical College Abbottabad, 6,747 students appeared at Grassy Ground Saidu Sharif Swat and 3,147 appeared at University Wensem College DI Khan Centre.
