Malala’s book being translated into Urdu
KARACHI:November 20: Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai’s memoir I am Malala is being translated into Urdu, it was announced on Saturday.

The book written about the young activist with the subheading ‘The girl who stood up for education and was shot by Taliban’ has been authored by Christina Lamb, a British journalist, and was launched all over the world as well as Pakistan in 2013.

Malala’s father, Ziauddin Yousafzai, made the announcement on his official verified account late Saturday evening: “I am so pleased to let you know that Mashal Books will launch “MAYN HON MALALA” by @Malala & @christinalamb, on 22nd November.”

Sharing further details about the launch ceremony, he posted a copy of the official invite which says that the keynote speaker on the occasion would be senior journalist and peace and human rights advocate I. A Rehman whereas physicist Pervez Hoodboy, human rights lawyer Asma Jahangir, author Khadim Hussain and Dr M. Hassan would be among the speakers.
The ceremony is scheduled to be held on Nov 22 in Lahore.Published in Dawn,
