MMUN 2017 starts at Millennium Campus & TMUC
Islamabad:November 25: The three-day Millennial Model United Nations (MMUN) 2017 was officially declared open at the Roots Flagship Millennium Campus I/9-3, here and The Millennium University College (TMUC), Bahria Springs, Rawalpindi, says a press release.
More than 1,500 students from across the country participated in this mega event. The MMUN 2017 is the outcome of the aspirant students of Roots Millennium Campus I-9/3, Islamabad.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor David Faulkner, Founder CEO of Magna Carta College and Global Business School Oxford, founder & CEO Roots Millennium Schools and The Millennium University Colleges, Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq (TI), Executive Director Anna Faisal, Dean of TMUC Islamabad Safia Farooqi, Director International Qualifications Ayesha Ansar, Millennium Campus Principal Muneeze Muzaffar & Principal TMUC, Springs Bahria Town, Rawalpindi Shabana Jaspal.
Professor David Faulkner in his speech to the delegates expressed his pleasure to witness the event and stressed that education is the best investment concerning the future of Pakistan. He further included that the youth is the strongest element in setting the image and status of any country and this is the time to pitch your country in the global arena.
MMUN is a platform where students learn to engage through meaningful dialogue regarding significant global and local issues and eventually form practical solutions to overcome them. This process not only increases their awareness regarding current affairs, international relations and their significance in the modern world. The event is an amalgamation of different cultures, mind set and delegates who travel nationwide to win a memorable experience. The culture of the Model United Nations Conferences has spread at a rapid pace throughout the world, and today, MUN is being taught as a course in some parts of the world. CEO Faisal Mushtaq understands that the current focus of intellectuals of the world has shifted from specialized knowledge to a more holistic development of the individual. Therefore, it is not only important for one to excel at what one does professionally but also have the perspective and insight to be a responsible and more adequately; a global citizen.
The MMUN 2017, conference marked the opening of the inspiration for the youth to help shape the world based on justice, solidarity, liberty and peace for all. The conference opened with some exciting performances by the students of different tiers, promoting cultural diversity and unity.
