Students remain stranded
LAHORE:27 November: Hundreds of students from the provincial metropolis who went on study tours are stranded outside the city owing to the closure of entry and exit point vis-à-vis the ongoing sit-ins.
Around 300 students of a school of Model Town left for Khewra Salt Mine, in Jhelum district on Saturday morning and were supposed to be back late in night. However, owing to closure of roads, the group of the students led by the school management could not make it by Sunday evening. They managed to reach near Lahore late Sunday night. However, as the entry points remained chocked they could not enter, till filing of the report. Talking on phone, one of the teachers with the students, Yasir, said some parents were able to pick their kids from near the entry point to the city while others were still stranded as police were not allowing the access. Similarly, parents and loved ones of a group of over 30 students from a university, who had left for Ayubia on Friday, are worried as to how they would come back in the wake of closure of entry and exit points of the provincial metropolis and traffic mess in other cities. The news.
