Youth urged to adopt reading habit for learning
Islamabad:January 20: Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Engineer Muhammad Balighur Rehman on Friday urged youth to adopt the habit of book reading for lifelong learning.

He was speaking to the students of Sindh Madressatul Islam University at the auditorium of Pakistan Manpower Institute here. The Sindh Madressatul Islam University students are on a study tour of Islamabad.

The minister told them the lifelong learning was very vital for us and the students should know the difference between right and wrong. “It is a blessing that our population comprises large number of young people and our youth has great talent and potential. Our youth has great abilities and they will have to use their abilities towards right direction,” he said.

The minister urged students to adopt constant approach and to do hard work. He said the future of Pakistan was very bright. “The universities will have to focus on the character building of youths along with imparting education to them,” he said. The minister said the promotion of education was the top priority of the present government.

He said the government had increased funding for education sector, while initiatives were launched to reduce the number of out-of-school children in the country. Vice Chancellor of the Sindh Madressatul Islam University Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh, Director General Pakistan Manpower Institute, Khalida Gulnar were also present on the occasion.The news.
