NTS exams cancelled as paper leaked out
PESHAWAR:March 7:Addressing the complaints of candidates from different districts of the province, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education department cancelled the National Testing Service (NTS) test for the post of primary school teachers (PST).

According to the NTS data around 1,76,516 candidates applied for the PST while half of the candidates have appeared in the first day of the test. The test was divided in three phases while in the morning the paper had been out through DF File at 8: 54.

K-P Elementary and Secondary Education Special Secretary Arshid Khan took notice of the issue and cancelled the paper for the post of PST. The secretary also directed the NTS to also cancel the paper which will be held today (Sunday). He said that the papers next date would be announced soon. He ordered an investigation and said that strict action would be taken against the involved persons.

Speaking to The Express Tribune a candidate from Karak district wishing not to be named said that a person named Masoor openly sold NTS papers before the test. He said that against full paper he demanded Rs 200,000 while per MCQ he was charging Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.

He demanded concerned authorities to take action against the involved person and give due rights to deserving candidates.

However, on the cancellation of papers, the appeared candidates showed reservations and said that government should take notice of this entire test and introduce a fair system for papers.

Speaking to The Express Tribune a female candidate’s father Ilyas Bashir express their grievances and said that it not easy for a female to come out of the house so early in the morning and reach to the test centre only to hear that the test has been cancelled.

“This is not the first time that paper has been out before the test, why does government not take action and control this kind of issues,” he said while adding that government itself is responsible for it and demanded to take strict action against the involved person and introduce own a fair testing system.

It is pertinent to mention here that against 18,000 vacant teaching posts for different cadre above 0.7 million applied through NTS, out of which 1,76,516 applied for PST.
