Russian Language Laboratory inaugurated at University of Peshawar
PESHAWAR:February 21: Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Alexey Y. Dedov, inaugurated the Pushkin Russian Language Laboratory at the Area Study Centre to strengthen Russian language learning and research at the University of Peshawar.

The Embassy of Russian Federation, Islamabad, through its Honorary Consulate in Peshawar would provide assistance in provision of a Russian language teacher, preferably a Russian citizen/scholar.

The Russian ambassador also spoke at a seminar at the Area Study Centre, which was jointly organised by the Honorary Consul General of Russian Federation for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata, Arsallah Khan, to commemorate the 70 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Russia.

Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Professor Dr Minhajul Hassan and Director Area Study Centre Prof Dr Sarfaraz Khan welcomed the ambassador and participants of the seminar. Russian Ambassador Alexey Dedov said the economic trade and defense co-operation between the two countries and visits of political and defense leadership was increasing. He termed it a welcoming sign.
