The following students secured prizes for the best performance
Rawalpindi:February 23: Sidra Afzal (Humanities), 2nd Madiha Kousar (Humanities) and 3rd Irsa Zahid (Humanities).
The following students secured prizes for the best performance in their respective fields: Mehwish Shaheen (Qiraat), Marwa Sajid (Naat), Wajiha Shams (English Speaker), Faiza Babar (Urdu Speaker), Shumaila Jabeen (Home Economics), Marium Hina (Sports), Nighat Younas (Cultural Performance), Muniba Munir (Singing), Nayha Naveed (Computer Science) and Aimen Zafar (Dramatics).

In co-curricular activities talented students represented the college in the different colleges of twin cities and other cities and won laurels to their institution winning 56 individual prizes and 14 trophies.

FG Postgraduate College for Women was also the proud recipient of the Trophy for Best performance in Academics 2017-18 by the Directorate of FGEIs (C/G).

The chief guest and Principal, Prof. Rana Arshad Qazi, addressing the students said that “This institution aspires to deliver an education that not only opens new vistas of knowledge but also fosters a positive and an all round best outlook in students”.

Referring to a quote of Anatul Fánce she said “The whole art of teaching is the art of awakening the natural curiosity in young minds.” She highlighted the status of women in our society who are no longer a vulnerable group. They possess the qualities of resilience, patience, courage and perseverance. The need of time is to ‘Know Thyself’, she added. She advised the students to develop their self-identity through sincerity and commitment in order to “blossom further in the rich fertile land of our great motherland”. She congratulated the prize winners and their mothers on their meritorious performance. She also thanked faculty members and media personal for making this event a successful one.
