HED finalised five varsities VCs Advertisement
LAHORE:April 25: Higher Education Department (HED), Punjab on Tuesday finalised the advertisement for the post of Vice-Chancellor (VC) of five public sector universities in the province.
These universities include the University of Home Economics, Lahore; Women University, Multan; University of Okara; University of Jhang and Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan. Sources in the HED said the advertisements would soon be placed in the media to search for the suitable candidates for these universities.
Notifications issued in this regard read that the ban imposed by the Election Commission of Pakistan is not applicable in these cases as the Supreme Court of Pakistan had issued directions on April 22 in Human Rights Case No 13865-P.
As per the eligibility criteria, the applicants must not be more than 65 years of age on the last date fixed for submission of applications and the applicants preferably have earned PhD degree from a recognised institution.The news.
