Missing’ laptops: Students protest outside BISE
MULTAN:25 May: Scores of students staged a demonstration outside the Multan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) for ignoring them in laptop schemes on Saturday. The protesters blocked the road, leading up to the BISE offices. They held banners and placards which bore slogans in favour of their demands. The students alleged that they had achieved positions during 2015, but were not given the laptops they were once promised, despite fulfilling the criteria. Further, they alleged that students who secured positions during 2016 and 2017 were given laptops, while they were ignored. Published in The Express Tribune, May 25.
