BISE Mirpurkhas staff starts token strike
HYDERABAD:25 May: Staff of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mirpurkhas have resorted to token work boycott after their demands have not been met by the board authorities. The one-hour token work boycott started on Tuesday.

“A conspiracy is under way to remove 113 existing staff members from the BISE,” alleged Noman Rajput, a staff member who led the protest, while talking to the local media. He complained that grades of the staff had not been upgraded and blamed the board for making deductions from their salaries for health insurance but not paying the amount to the insurance company.

BISE’s plan to use mobile signal jammers hindered

Rajput, Ali Shan Shah, Farrukh Raza and seven others, who have been served show-cause notices by the board, told the media that the notices were served at their residences instead of their offices. They explained that they had been accused of sabotaging the 2018 board examinations for higher secondary certificate part I by holding protests in the board’s premises a few days before the examinations started.

A delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan led by Dr Zafar Kamali met BISE Chairperson Barkat Ali Haideri on Wednesday. The delegation asked the board chairperson to accept the charter of demands of the protesting staff. Express News.
