QAED two days PEELI training of newly recruited Educators
Lahore:16 June:According to the notification, “Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development (QAED), Punjab has planned two days PEELI training of newly recruited Educators-2017, who have received three-day PEELI training during the Induction Training Programme-2017. The said training will be conducted in all districts of Punjab with effect from 22-06-2018 to 23-06-2018 in batches.”

However, the QAED has exempted those educators who had been assigned election duties. “The District QAED head may not call those educators who are involved in election duties and direction of the election commission shall take the highest priority during this PEELI training.”

The QAED has also assigned its district heads to ensure participation in the training. The notification said, “It is proposed that District QAED head concerned may inform the participants and ensure their participation in the subject training as per schedule mentioned above.” The QAED also informed that the training centers would be the same for teachers as assigned during their Induction Training Programme-2017. Only qualified PEELI Master Trainers shall be deputed in training, the QAED further instructed.

Moreover, the QAED had asked all the district education authorities’ (DEAs) chief executive officers (CEOs) to ensure 100% attendance of the trainees.

The aims of the PEELI programme, started in collaboration with Punjab Schools Education Department (SED) and QAED by the British Council in 2013, are to enhance the quality of teaching through training.Published in The Express Tribune, June 16th, 2018.
