JAMIAT Ulema-e-Islam F condemns removal of Islamic chapters

LAHORE:JAMIAT Ulema-e-Islam(F) has strongly condemned the removal of chapters related to Islamic education and history from the education syllabi in the new national education policy, and demanded the prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani hold inquiry into the matter to avoid protests and restore the removed chapters. JUI-F Punjab ameer Qazi Hameedullah Khan, Mufti Usman and deputy secretary information Hafiz Abubakar Chaudhry further demanded that education minister should come up with an explanation on the floor of Assembly regarding the issue. The JUI-F leaders said Islamic education is protected in the country by 73 constitution and the new education policy should be reviewed in the light of the constitution.
