* Centre of excellence and main referral hospital for surgical patients. Cases are referred to CMHs from all over the country. Federal Ministers and Diplomats also attend this hospital.
* Over 40,000 major operations performed every year in the field of Orthopaedic; Neurosurgery, Urology; Eye, ENT and Plastic surgery.
* Over 100,000 Radiological investigations done every year which include a wide range of contrast radiography e.g. Carotid angiography. Myelography, Mammography and ERCP. facilities for CT Scan and Ultrasonography also exist.
* Linear accelerator is also available in Radiotherapy Dept for Cancer patients.
