University of Veterinary Sciences Lahore arranged a seminar on Nutrition in Dairy Animals in Australia

LAHORE:THE Directorate of Research of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) arranged a seminar on Nutrition and Management Practices in Dairy Animals in Australia in the seminar room on Saturday.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz chaired the seminar while Agriculture Sector Linkages Programme (ASLP) Dairy Project Field Manager Dr Hassan Mehmood Warraich and Ehsan Ullah Khan, a PhD student (Nutrition) of the UVAS, spoke on the subject.

Dr Warraich and Ehsan recently returned from Australia where they visited livestock farms and held discussions with the livestock experts and farmers on nutrition and management of dairy animals.

Speaking on the occasion, the VC said proper nutrition of animals was important to enhance livestock productivity.

He called for collaborations between national and international organizations/institutions for the development of livestock sector.

The seminar ended with a question and answer session. A large number of faculty members and postgraduate students attended the seminar.
