ACCA Signs MoU with Bahauddin Zakariya University
Multan :July 21: ACCA Pakistan signed an MoU with Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan under which seventy five scholarships worth Rs 3.3 million will be offered to undergraduates, graduates and alumni who join ACCA qualification.
It is an exceptional opportunity for undergraduates, graduates and alumni of Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan as ACCA is the only professional accounting qualification recognised by the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan. It is also globally recognised by employers and academia. The MoU was signed by Haroon A Jan, head of ACCA Lahore, and Prof Dr Syed Khawaja Alqama, Vice Chancellor Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan. The deadline for availing the scholarships is October 31, 2013.
At the MoU signing Haroon A Jan said, “ACCA is committed to providing opportunity for hard-working and talented people to enjoy rewarding and successful careers in finance and accountancy. The MoU will help many to study the ACCA qualification, which would enable them to become complete finance professionals and in turn meet the needs of businesses and the wider economy in southern Punjab. Our research shows that businesses want finance professionals with a breadth and depth of knowledge and we are committed to working with the Department of Commerce, BahauddinZakariya University Multan to ensure that ACCAs can make outstanding contributions to ongoing economic development here.”
