AKU prof awarded gold medal
Karachi: January 01: Professor Mohammad Wasay of the Aga Khan University has been honoured with a gold medal from the Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) for his pioneering research on nervous system diseases.
The prestigious medal was awarded in the Health Sciences category and is the first time that the PAS has recognised research in neurology during its annual awards. Dr Wasay’s work revolves around stroke and tuberculosis (TB) of the central nervous system. It has led to the development of new strategies and programmes for stroke prevention and control in Pakistan and other Asian countries.The news
