Youm-e-Hussain marked at Karachi University
KARACHI:November 12:  Annual Youm-e-Hussain (AS) programme was organised at Karachi University by Imamia Students Organisation in collaboration with Office of Students Advisor on Monday. This year it was held at Parking Ground near Administration Block. KU VC Dr Mohammad Qaiser Khan chaired the event, while Deputy General Secretary Majlis e Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Allama Ameen Shaheedi among others were speakers. Professor Khan said Hazrat Imam Hussain’s (AS) main aim was to awaken the Islamic community. He said education was the key to success and students should concentrate on studies to steer Pakistan and Muslim Ummah to the path of prosperity and development. Students also paid homage to Shuhda-e-Karbala through speeches, Noha, Naat and Munqabat.Daily Times.
