Islamabad Urdu book ‘European Union: Naiyee Almee Taaqat published.

Islamabad: The Urdu book ‘European Union: Naiyee Almee Taaqat”’ (EU: The emerging super power) has been published.

The book comprises columns written by EU, political analyst and a career journalist, Ansar Mahmood Bhatti. Author’s first book, in English, titled ‘Current Affairs: A deep insight into the European Union’ was published in April this year and the second edition of that book is in printing process.

In the book, the author has discussed, in detail, the evolution of the European Union with a particular focus on its relations with Pakistan and India. This is for the first time that in-depth study has been carried out on European affairs by a Pakistani journalist.

In the second chapter, the author has highlighted role of various world organisations such as SAARC, OIC, NAM, SCO, Arab League and the United Nations while the last chapter is about Pakistan affairs.

The introduction of the book is penned down by Jan De KOK, the European Union Ambassador in Pakistan while Prof. Khurshid Ahmad, member Senate of Pakistan and Chairman Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) has written the foreword. In addition, the Ambassador of Romania and country’s renowned scholar Dr. Safdar Mahmood and Dr. Javed Asghar have contributed special flap messages.

The book caters to the needs of teachers; students of International Relations; Defence and Strategic Studies, CSS as it covers these areas comprehensively. The book is available at all leading bookshops including countrywide outlets of the National Book Foundation.
