Govt striving to raise standard of school education
NANKANA SAHIB:22 March: Punjab Education Minister Murad Ras Thursday said a teacher played a vital role in the development and progress of a society and a country.

Addressing a ceremony at Government Guru Nanak High School, the minister said the Punjab government was striving to raise the standard of school education.

He said humanity was a superior thing. The minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan wanted to provide basic necessities to the people of far flung areas.

MNA Ijaz Shah said the country would make progress under the leadership of Imran Khan. He said previous government raised the status of school and put under Danish Authority by giving the status of Centre of Excellence.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Raja Mansoor Ahmad, Principal Muhammad Wasim Khan, senior headmaster of MC High School Mirza Saleem Akhtar, President Press Club Chaudhry Afzal Haq Khan and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

Later, he planted a sapling and also visited the Gurdwara Janamasthan. Secretary General Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbhanhak Committee Sardar Gopal Singh Chawala and caretaker of Gurdwara Attique Gillani briefed the minister on the historic importance of the Gurdwara.The news.
