Tameer-e-Seerat Schools and Colleges System  to expand network in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: After opening its branches in Swabi, Mardan and Ghazi, the well-known education network, Tameer-e-Seerat Schools and Colleges System (TSS&CS), is mulling to establish institutes in Peshawar, Abbottabad, Nowshera, Charsadda and Kohat soon.

Talking to The News on Tuesday, noted educationist and group head Saeed-ur-Rehman said they have chalked out a plan under which graduate and postgraduate classes would be started in Tameer-e-Seerat institutions. He said they were not expanding their network to mint money but have a mission to open more educational institutes to enhance literacy rate.We not only award degrees but equip the students with modern and Islamic education to face the future challenges in a befitting manner,he added.

He said they launched a single branch of TSS&CS in Swabi in 1994, which swelled over to nine in a short span of time. He said that presently three each branches were functioning in Swabi, Ghazi and Mardan where besides culture, Islamic values and computer, Oxford curricula taught in these institutions.

Saeed termed the education system in government-run schools, colleges and universities as outdated, which needed urgent reformation. Keeping in view the fast changing scenario in the world, we have to bring educational revolution in the country by promoting science and technology sector, the educationist suggested. He said the government must help the owners of private educational institutions to enable them to impart quality education on reasonable charges. He said that they were also providing free of cost education to a number of poor students in all the TSS & CS branches.
