The EDO said that a complete ban on unfair, unjustified and political based transfer of teachers would be enforced from the new academic year starting from April 1. He directed the subordinate officials of primary section to ensure transfer of parents teachers councils (PTCs) funds to the bank accounts of the schools without any further delay. Hasan said that the department would monitor the process of utilisation of PTCs funds on petty repair works and purchase of consumable articles in the primary schools of the district. He asked the head teachers of primary schools to spend funds transparently in consultation with the members of parents teachers councils. The EDO agreed to the proposal of the Apta leaders to hold/organise an education seminar in the near future for the purpose to chalk out a strategy for resolving the problems faced by teachers, students and educational institutions. He called upon the teachers’ organisations to focus on positive and constructive activities so as to bring an improvement in the learning environment in the schools.
