Students block Ferozpur Road against accident
KASUR:26 February: A student was crushed to death while his friend sustained injuries in an accident near Baba Kamal Chishti Chowk on Tuesday.
Hasnain Yaqoob, a student of BCom, and his friend Jamil were coming out from the Government Commerce College’s main gate when a truck hit their vehicle in front of the college. As a result, Hasnain died on the spot while Jamil sustained injuries. Later, students of the college blocked Ferozpur Road and burnt tyres against the incident. They chanted slogans against the police and demanded immediate arrest of the truck driver who had escaped from the spot. Later, on the assurance of the police that the truck driver would be arrested within 24 hours, the protesters dispersed.
