Rs 500,000 cheques given to Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC) students
Lahore: Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC) Principal Prof Dr Javed Akram, on behalf of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, has handed over the cheques of Rs 500,000 each to top medal-wining candidates during the AIMC's 9th Convocation held on December 24, 2008. The principal gave away cheques to Dr Muhammad Zaman Khan and Dr Zarish Shaukat. Dr Muhammad Zaman Khan (2007) got 14 gold medals including Mian Muhammad Sharif Gold Medal while Dr Zarish Shaukat (2007) also got 14 medals including seven gold and silver medals each. The News
