Samaa TV - HEC to launch scholarship programme for Mass Communication students

Islamabad: A private television channel "Samaa TV" is launching scholarship for students of public sector universities across the country who are striving for a better education but cannot get due to lack of financial resources.

In this regard, a memorandum of understanding will be signed between Samaa television and Higher Education Commission here on Monday.

Samaa will be providing a scholarship of Rs. 50,000/- each to 10 students to cover the tuition fee for two years of Master's level degree in Mass Communication.

The recipients will consist of five (05) male and five (05) female students.

On completion of the education, the successful candidate will be offered one year job contract with Samaa Tv with salary at par with the industry standard and with desired department.

The channel will, through this initiative, create potential and talent for the media industry and also building the capacity of young individuals, who have the talent but lack resources to achieve their educational standards.

By financially supporting a talent, it will be playing its active role in bringing a positive change in the social, political and economic scenario in Pakistan. App
