King Edward Medical University gave approval budget of Rs 614.639 million

Lahore: The King Edward Medical University (KEMU) Syndicate gave approval for varsity's budget of Rs 614.639 million for financial year 2009-10 in its 7th meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Zafar Ullah Khan. About Rs 7.536 million have been allocated for student scholarships, Rs 1.5 million for research, Rs 42.820 million for maintenance and repairs of the building, Rs 4.5 million for the facility of lift for disabled students while Rs 5.1 million have been allocated for the purchase of new coasters.

The meeting decided to strengthen the Pathology Lab and to provide computers to the teachers to meet the challenges of the information technology. Those who attended the meeting included University of Enginnering & Technology (UET) Vice Chancellor Gen (r) Muhammad Akram, Humayoun Farshori, Member Punjab Public Service Commission, Haroon Khwaja, Financial Expert, Member Provincial Assembly, Dr Asad Ashraf and Saeed Akbar Khan, Prof Munir-ul-Haq, Prof Rashid Latif and representatives from Health, Finance and Education Departments.
