    Introduction

    Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) was established in 1970, before that West Pakistan Board of Technical Education was responsible for certification of Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) in the Sindh province and the Country. The Board is an autonomous body which is mainly responsible to develop, streamline and regulate the programs of studies for TEVT institutions operating both in public and private sector. The above were achieved by research for need assessment, evaluation and implementation of programs, affiliating and monitoring of the program and its certification..

    Objectives

        * Enhance transparent and impartial examination system.
        * Establish valid, reliable and uniform testing system.
        * Provide effective examination scheduling.
        * Strengthen TEVT system through Industry linkages.
        * Develop flexible and demand driven curricula.
        * Enhance the quality of teachers and other staff.
        * Improve overall internal and external efficiency.
        * Improve documents, procedures and rules.
        * Promote courses and credential.
