Review on "Punjab Supervision of Curricula, Textbooks and Maintenance of Standards of Education Bill 2012"
Lahore:7-1-2012:The Punjab Assembly on Wednesday passed eight Bills, including Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan Bill 2011, with a majority vote, after all the amendments proposed by the Opposition were rejected.

Besides, the treasury also introduced Punjab Supervision of Curricula, Textbooks and Maintenance of Standards of Education Bill 2012.

The Bills passed by the PA included: Ghazi University, DG Khan Bill 2011, Punjab Public Service Commission (Amendment) Bill 2011, Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2011, Punjab Agricultural Pesticides (Amendment) Bill 2011, Punjab Industrial and Commercial Employment (Amendment) Bill 2011, Punjab Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Bill 2011, Punjab Workers’ Children education (Amendment) Bill 2011 and the Punjab Bonded Labour System abolishment (Amendment Bill) 2011.

All the Bills were moved by Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan while a majority of Opposition members were not present in the House. T

Apart from Amna Ulfat, Samina Khawar Hayat, Mohsin Leghari and Chaudhry Zaheer ud Din, who was there for some time, most of the Opposition members showed no interest in the process of legislation.
