AIOU announces results of postgraduate programmes
Islamabad:March 07:Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has declared final results of its postgraduate programs for Semester Spring, 2015 and placed them at the University’s Website www.aiou.edu.pk

The result was also being communicated to the students on their postal address. The declared results include: PhD (Mass Com), Pakistani Languages, Chemistry, Computer Science, MPhil (History), Economics, Stats, Maths, Mass Communication and Physics. Under MS Programme, the results of Community Health and Nutrition, Environmental Design and Computer Science, MBA/MPA (Executive) and Under MSc Programmes the results of Stats, Chemistry, Television, Maths, Forestry, Agricultural Extension, Nutrition and Pakistan Studies have been announced.

Result of other programmes of post-graduate level will be announced next week. Examination system and evaluation process are being streamlined to ensure transparency as well as taking care of students' convenience.

The university has expedited results’ announcement process and issuing the provisional results cares to the students facilitating them to continue future study without any difficulty.

In this connection, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid SIddiqui has given a time-line to the relevant departments for results’ announcement and issuance of academic documents. Quality and transparency in the entire examination is also being ensured.

Meanwhile, the university has extended the last date of admissions for Matric to postgraduate-level programmes till March 21 without late fee.

The decision to this effect was taken by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui to accommodate maximum number of people particularly those living in far-flung areas. There was also a pressing demand from prospective students and their parents for the extension of the last date. The VC hoped that the students will avail the opportunity to continue their future study. The university is doing its best to provide most affordable quality education to the people through distance learning system, he added.

Admission forms and prospectuses could be obtained from the university’s main campus, 44-regional campuses and more than 100 coordinating offices across the country.The news.
