Governor orders KEMU convocation
LAHORE:PUNJAB Governor Salman Taseer has ordered the administration of King Edward Medical University (KEMU) to hold the convocation of graduates of 1998 to 2006 in October, 2010.

Earlier, the KEMU administration had planned to hold convocation for fresh graduates of session 2008 and 2009 on June 12, 2010.

The governor passed these instructions during a meeting with a delegation of young doctors/old graduates of KEMU led by Dr Salman Kazmi, which included Dr Talha Bin Ayub, Dr Hafsa and Dr Usra, said a press release issued by KEMU graduates here on Monday.

The vice chancellor and registrar of KEMU were also there at the occasion.

The present convocation on 12th would include graduates of 2008, 2009 and medal winners of 2004, 2005. The Governor who is also the chancellor of KEMU on the request of KEMU graduates directed the varsity administration to make special arrangements for the parents of graduates of 2008, 2009 at the reception of the convocation of June 12, 2010.
