University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore doubles student quota for FATA

Lahore: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore has increased the quota of students from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) by 100 percent for admission to its postgraduate (MPhil and PhD) programmes.

According to a press release issued by UVAS on Saturday, the decision was taken at the 20th meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board of the UVAS chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Nawaz. The meeting approved 43 synopses of MPhil, MPhil leading to PhD and PhD students of various disciplines/departments. The board also gave approval of supervisory committees as well as changes in some of the supervisory committees of MPhil and PhD students.

While stressing on research quality, the vice-chancellor said that the research topics of postgraduate scholars should be field-oriented and must focus on solution to current problems. Daily Times
