Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE D G Khan Dera) Ghazi Khan History

The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Dera Ghazi Khan was established in 1989 to conduct the SSC and HSSC examinations of the students of Dera Ghazi Khan Division. This division comprises of four Districts i.e. D.G.Khan, Muzaffar Gharh, Layyah and rajan Pur.

Due to non-availability of proper building, initially the offices of the Chairman and Controller were established in the premises of Govt. Comprehensive High School, D. G Khan and the Secretary office in the rented buildings, which was shifted at different colonies of District Dera Ghazi Khan from time to time. Presently, all branches of the Board are functioning free of cost in the Hostel Building and residences of Govt. Comprehensive High School, D.G.Khan.

The land measuring 103 Kanals and 18 marlas was purchased in two phases in 1991 & 1994 respectively for the construction of Board Complex. One year agreement with PEPAC(Pvt.) Limited, Lahore was signed on 01-03-1997 for this purpose. The said firm prepared the line plan, Layout plan and rough cost estimates of Board Complex costing to Rs. 76.16 millions but the Project could not be executed till 2001. The agreement between BISE, DGKHAN and PEPA(Pvt.) Ltd. was for one year i.e. up to 28-02-1998
