United Kingdom announces scholarships for Pakistani students
Preparation For Life a United Kingdom based organisation Sunday announced scholarships worth Rs2.2 million for Pakistani students who plan to study in UK, says a press release.
The scholarships are aimed to assist high achievers and will help these students financially as reward for their academic excellence, said PFLs Chairman (Designate) Lawrie Green.
He announced that six students will receive a combined total of approximately Rs2.2 million for funding their educational expenses. He has also announced that one student will receive10,000 and five students will receive2,000 each as financial support for their studies abroad.
PFLs Regional Director Rizwana Asif saidThis is a great opportunity for Pakistani students with immense potential and we are pleased to encourage these students to polish their capabilities by studying in the UK.
Part of the process of the selection will be conducted by independent and highly credible Pakistani educationalists. The panel will include top officials from IBA, LUMS and HEC. The media will be present at the time of student selections to make the process transparent. PFL is also organizing a UK Educational Fair starting from 27th March to 2nd April.
