“International Women’s Day” was observed by the Women Foundation of The University of Faisalabad in Saleem Campus on March 8, 2010. On this occasion different speech and singing competitions were held which were largely attended by the female faculty and students. Dr Shehla Zahid, President, Women Foundation, and Ms Zahida Maqbool, Vice President, Women Foundation, expressed their views regarding Women’s Day. Students also presented different skits and tableaus reflecting the messages regarding the role of women, their rights and duties in a society. In the end a number of women workers of TUF and MTH were also given away the cash and gifts by the Women Foundation
